Your mission

You will set early-stage ventures up for sales success. Work with co-founders to find their first customers, scale to their first $1m in revenue and beyond. Provide guidance on global sales strategy, create sales plans and playbooks, hire and develop sales teams. Your role will involve a hands-on contribution in the early days of launching each new venture, but you will still keep the strategic view in focus. You will identify and develop new business opportunities and relationships within the maritime sector and deploy them to add the most value to our venture-building ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure early-stage ventures reach ambitious sales target

  • Consult our ventures on how to build and grow a lean, successful sales function with global reach

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the maritime sector and help open doors for our ventures

  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry

  • Provide guidance on sales strategy set up playbooks, infrastructure, benchmarks and metrics

  • Help to hire the first members of our sales teams

  • Be ready to get hands-on in the early days of bringing a new venture/product to market

  • Coordinate learnings to make scaling sales a repeatable part of our venture-building process

Your profile
You have a deep understanding of the maritime industry and can demonstrate your expertise in sales and business development. The maritime sector is a unique terrain in which to sell digital solutions,. and you have learned how to navigate it and charted routes to success, building a strong network in the process.

  • 5+ years in sales/business development

  • Deep understanding of the maritime sector and its key stakeholders across the world - maritime sector experience is essential for this role.

  • Understanding of software and SaaS products

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • A desire to work with fast-growing digital startups

  • Fluent English. German is a plus. So are other languages
