Your mission
As a Technical Sales Engineer/Consultant – Maritime Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Kaiko Systems' technical offerings and the needs of prospective clients. Leveraging your extensive maritime experience, you will provide technical expertise, practical insights, and solutions engineering during the sales process. This role ensures that our clients fully understand the value and applicability of Kaiko Systems' products in solving their operational challenges.
Your skillset to navigate success:
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide deep insights into shipboard operations, technical workflows, safety protocols, and compliance requirements to guide product development. Act as the in-house expert for maritime standards, regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code), and industry best practices.
- Product Development Support: Collaborate with the product team to define and validate product features, ensuring alignment with maritime industry needs. Review technical specifications, user stories, and wireframes, offering feedback to improve usability and functionality
- User-Centric Design Input: Advocate for the end-user by sharing operational challenges, pain points, and practical constraints faced by seafarers, superintendents, and operators. Participate in user research activities, such as interviews and surveys, to gather insights for product refinement.
- Testing and Validation: Support the testing process by validating features against real-world scenarios and operational requirements. Identify potential gaps or inconsistencies in product performance and recommend actionable improvements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and customer success teams to ensure products meet high technical and operational standards. Act as a liaison between the product team and external stakeholders, such as maritime professionals, for feedback and insights.
- Knowledge Sharing and Training: Develop and maintain documentation, such as technical guides and industry insights, to support product development and team understanding. Conduct training sessions for internal teams to enhance their understanding of maritime operations and technologies.
